1. Will these headers fit both the 3.6L Carrera and 3.8L Carrera S?
Yes. The cylinder head exhaust port spacing and mounting bolt patterns are identical on both the M96.05 (3.6L) and M97.01 (3.8L) naturally aspirated engines across all 997.1 Carrera models.
2. Will installing these headers trigger a Check Engine Light (CEL)?
No. On the Porsche 997.1 Carrera, the primary catalytic converters and oxygen (O2) sensors are located downstream in the crossover cat pipes, not within the headers. Replacing the exhaust manifold headers preserves factory O2 sensor monitoring without throwing error codes.
